No Warning

Dedicated to my uncle JeanGil
I don't know how to say it
I don't even know how to comprehend it
There was no warning
You weren't sick
I didn't even get to see you one last time
All I know is that you are gone now.
But why?
I want to ask God why would he take you?
Take you from us now
I thought we were promised three score & ten
You barely got your three score
You lived a full life
Loving everyone
Smiling your beautiful broad smile
Now I will not have you there on my big day
My kids will never get to meet my uncle Jean,
I just don't know how to get through this.
All I know is once a time ago a teen met her uncle
He smiled, he talked to her
He showed her how to assert herself
How to smile even when at her lowest
And she loved her uncle
Loved to see him whenever he visited
Wished she could visit him more
And now this teen turned woman
Without any warning
Has to strengthen herself to the fact that
She will no longer see her beloved uncle again.
